What Really Matters

I know life’s been tough, it has been for me. This past year has been hard. Period. I’m definitely looking forward to next year, full of hope that it will be better, different...beautiful!

I’m looking forward to focusing on things that matter to me, and maybe they matter to you too. Do you want to join me?

Here’s the INVITATION!! Come along and journey with me as we work on things that really matter.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10b

What does this even mean? And what can we do? (Because I believe we do play a part in all of this... but don’t take my word for it.)

I want to focus on growing and blooming this year. Do you find that any of the areas listed below are things you need to work on as well?

  • Growing closer to God. He promises if we draw near to Him, he’ll draw near to us (James 4:8,Matthew 6:33).

  • Improving physical health. Our bodies are a temple that houses the Holy Spirit. They were created by God, and we should desire to care for them in a way that brings God Glory (1 Corinthians 6:19).

  • Mental and emotional health. God gave us the beautiful gift of a mind to think with and emotions to feel. He wants us to use them and His word tells us how. Let’s discover together how to do it in a way that honors Him (2 Corinthians 10:5, Ephesians 4:23, Romans 12:2, Philippians 4:8).

  • Growing and building beautiful relationships in Christ. What does God say about this and what can we do? Relationships are messy sometimes, but we were made for community. And I’ve been learning a lot about this. Do you want to learn with me? Real truth in love, forgiveness, grace, and healthy boundaries are all parts of having healthy relationships (Ephesians 4:2 & 15, Galatians 5:14, Philippians 2:3, Proverbs 17:17, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, John 13:34, Matthew 7:12).

  • Thriving in essential life skills such as; time management, family logistics, routines and habit building, money management and more (Ephesians 5:15-17, Proverbs 16:9, John 9:4, 1 Corinthians 6:12, Ephesians 5:1, Proverbs 22:7, Proverbs 3:9, Luke 14:28-30).

  • Serving Him. Because that is what He called us to do. Each of us is called differently and learning what that is, is a beautiful thing (Deuteronomy 13:4, Colossians 3:17, 1 Peter 4:10, Romans 12:11).

This year I want to focus on spiritual, physical, emotional/mental and relational aspects of life. I’m looking for people to join me, learn with me and grow with me.
